News | Falkins Insurance Participates in Relay for Life

On Saturday May 26, 2007 the "Falkins Freedom Fighters" from Cranbrook branch participated in this year's Relay for Life at Mt. Baker high school. Relay for Life is a 12 hour walk to fight cancer. It was a fantastic day, the weather was perfect & everyone enjoyed the sunshine. By implementing "Jeans Day" on Fridays (staff pays $2 if they’re wearing jeans!) & by requesting personal donations, $4,000.65 was raised towards the fight against cancer.

On Saturday June 2, 2007 the “Falkins Gurlz” teamed up with “Fernie Fire Rescue” and raised $1,500.00 at the Relay for Life in Fernie. Due to prior commitments, they were lacking in team members this year and wanted to thank all who participated and especially to all those who donated to this special event.  To prepare for the event, the Fernie Branch held their annual hot dog sale raising approximately $300.

Total Raised was $5,500.65 – Thank you everyone for all of your support & see you next year!

Well done Team Falkins!
