News | Falkins Hot Rod places 10th at Fernie’s Soap Box Derby

Fernie held their 5th annual Soap Box Derby on Saturday June 9, 2007. The Falkins Hot Rod was driven by Ashley Hockley who placed 10th out of 97 in the qualifying heats, and the second top girl! She did a fantastic race - her average speed was 37 km/hr! This annual event is hosted by Knights of Columbus and all funds raised benefit the community of Fernie. Unfortunately this is Ashley’s last year as our driver and she wishes to thank Falkins for her sponsorship.
